LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American basketball professional who is a player with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. James is known as King James and is considered as one of the most successful basketball players in history. James is the winner of four NBA Championships, the four NBA MVP Awards and the four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He has also won the distinction of having two Olympic gold medals. James has earned the second most career goals and seventh most assists. He has been selected as an NBA All-Star 18 times. This is an NBA record for him to be an NBA All-Star for 18 years. He was the third player to participate in NBA Finals. Eight of the games were in consecutive order from 2011 to 2018. In 2021, James was named to make the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022, he became the very first player of NBA history to score 10,000 or more career points rebounds and assists. James played basketball for St. Vincent St. Mary High in Akron Ohio, where he lived his entire life. National media touted James as a future NBA superstar. In 2003, the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the top pick in the NBA draft in 2003. He was named the 2004 NBA Rookie of Year He quickly established himself as one of the best league players winning the NBA MVP title in both 2009 and 2010. James, who failed to take home the title at Cleveland in 2010 was released as a free agent and signed with his team the Miami Heat. This was disclosed in The Decision. It is one of the most controversial choices made by a player who was a free agent time.
