Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is a famous American actor and singer. Her parents were Tom Bell and Lorelei Frygier who are both news director on television. Her family was from Huntington Woods Michigan. She has Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen found her talent in entertainment from a young stage of her life. In 1992, she went to her first audition and won a role in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell 13, who was 13 when her mother signed up for an agent, was also cast in advertisements for newspapers and television. In addition, she is beginning private acting lessons. Bell had a small uncredited part in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a member of the Drama and Music Club at Shrine Catholic High School. She was cast as Dorothy in the school production of The Wizard of Oz. Bell attended New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theatre following her graduation. Bell left the university in 2001 to take on the role Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In 2001, it was also when Bell's debut appearance was in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). The scene she appeared in was cut and only the credits display her. Bell was in the film with Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson, and the Broadway performance of The Crucible in 2002.
