Annette Funicello, an American performer and actress. Her most famous work is being one of the Mickey Mouse Club's original Mouseketeers. As a teenager Annette started singing and she became famous for her songs 'Tall Paul' and Pineapple Princess'. Annette was raised in Utica with parents who were Italian immigrants. She was shy as when she was a child. She wanted to pursue an income in the entertainment industry and soon took the stage and began to dance. Her fame grew in the 1950s when she played the role of "Mouseketeers". Annette was able to let go of the "Disney" persona that she developed as a child and take many different adult characters. She was best known as one of the actors who initiated the "beach party" style of film. The films she appeared in included 'Pajama Party', 'How to Stuff a Wild Bikini' and 'Beach Party'. In addition, she was able to continue producing music albums. Annette was first diagnosed as having MS around the year 1992. The year 2013 was the year she passed away from the illness.
